How to Make a Google Form: Let's Do This!
Ready? Let's build a form, step by step.
Step 1: Get to Google Forms
- Open your browser and go to Google Forms.
- Sign in to your Google account. You probably already are!
Step 2: Start a New Form
- Click "+ Blank" to make a new form. Or, pick a template if you want a head start. Need a party invite? Template!
Step 3: Give it a Name!
- See "Untitled form" at the top? Click it and type in a name. Something you'll remember!
- Add a description too. Tell people what the form is for.
Step 4: Add Your Questions
- Click on the first question box.
- Type your question.

- Dropdown: Like multiple choice, but in a dropdown.

Step 5: Make Questions Look Great
You can add stuff to make your questions better:
- Pictures or Videos: Add these to explain things or just make it look nicer.
- Descriptions: Explain the question better.
- Sections: Break your form into parts.
- Go to Section Based on Answer: This is cool! Send people to different sections based on what they answer. Like a "Choose Your Own Adventure" form.
- Shuffle Option Order: For quizzes, mix up the answers so people can't cheat.
Step 6: Add More Questions!
- Click the "+" button to add another question.
- Do steps 4 and 5 again for each question.
Step 7: Make it Look Good!

- Show link to submit another response: Do you want them to fill it out again?
- Confirmation message: Change the message they see after they're done. "Thanks!" or something more fun.
- Quizzes Settings:
- Make this a quiz: Turn it into a quiz!
- Release grade: When do they see their grade? Right away? Later?
- Respondent can see: What can they see after the quiz? Right answers? Points?
Step 9: Preview - Check it Out!
- Click the "Preview" icon (the eye) at the top.
- Fill out the form yourself to test it.
Step 10: Share It!
- Click the "Send" button at the top.
- Pick how to share:
- Email: Type in email addresses.
- Link: Copy the link and send it anywhere. Shorten the link - looks better!
- Embed: Put the form right on your website.
Seeing the Answers
People are answering! Now what? All the answers go into a Google Sheet automatically.
In Google Forms

In Google Sheets
