4. The Play of the Hand

The person to the declarer's left starts. They play any card. Then, the dummy puts their hand on the table, face up. The declarer plays both their hand and the dummy's hand.

Go around the table. Everyone plays one card. You have to play the same suit if you can. If you don't have that suit, play anything.

Who wins the trick? Highest card of the suit that was started. Unless someone plays a "trump" card (a card of the trump suit). Then, the highest trump wins.

The winner of the trick starts the next one. Keep playing until all 13 tricks are done.

5. Scoring

• Made the contract: You get points. How many points depends on the suit and if the contract was doubled.
• Failed the contract: The other team gets points! Depends on how many tricks you missed and if the contract was doubled.
• Bonus Points: Get extra points for bidding big contracts. Like "games" (4 Hearts, 4 Spades, etc.) and "slams" (really big contracts!).
