How to Make an Adorable Paper Bag Dog
Want a fun craft for kids? This paper bag dog is super easy and uses stuff you probably already have! Perfect for a rainy day, a school project, or just some creative fun. It's a great way to teach kids basic crafting skills – plus, it lets their imaginations go wild!
What You'll Need:
- A brown paper lunch bag (or any color!)
- Markers or crayons (black, brown, pink, and others)
- Scissors
- Glue stick
- Optional: Googly eyes, construction paper, pom-poms – get creative!
Let's Make a Pup!
1. Getting Started
Lay the paper bag flat. Makes things easier and helps your dog look even on both sides.
2. Head and Ears
- Fold the top down: About 2-3 inches to make the head. Crease it well!
- Make the ears: Fold down the top corners. Make them floppy, pointy… whatever you like!
3. Drawing the Face
This is the fun part! Use markers to draw:

- Eyes: Two circles. Or use googly eyes – they're awesome!
- Nose: A small triangle or circle.

4. The Body

- Add spots or stripes: Make your dog unique!
- Make a collar: Cut a strip of construction paper and glue it on.
5. Legs and Tail
- Legs: Cut out four small squares from construction paper. Glue two to each side of the bag.
- Tail: Cut a long strip. Glue it on the back. Curl it for extra fun!
6. Finishing Touches
Almost done! Add some extra details:
- A tongue: Cut a pink shape and glue it in.
- More collar stuff: Pom-poms, beads… anything goes!
- A bone?: Make one from construction paper!
Different Dog Breeds? No Problem!
Want a dachshund? Use a long, flat bag and make the legs short. A Dalmatian? Lots of black spots! A pug? Make the face wrinkly.
